Larry Neal
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Neal has extensive experience leading transformational growth strategies across the data and technology industries. He recently served as the President and Co-Founder of GoExpedi, an online energy procurement services provider.
Prior to founding GoExpedi, Mr. Neal spent nearly 20 years in senior leadership roles at S&P Global. Most recently he served as President of the commodity price reference agency, S&P Platts. In this role Mr. Neal drove impressive growth, nearly tripling the revenue of the business during his tenure.
Through organic growth and M&A, he greatly expanded the analytics and workflow capabilities at S&P Platts, enhancing the company’s customer value proposition and establishing its market leadership in commodity data and information. Prior to S&P Platts, he led significant performance improvements at both the S&P Equity Research and S&P Index Services businesses. He started his career at General Electric and IBM. Mr. Neal is currently an independent director at GTCR portfolio company Lexipol and he served on the boards of the firm’s previous portfolio companies Optimal Blue and Callcredit.
Alan Gordon
Chief Information Officer
Mr. Gordon currently serves as the head of all software development and holds the title of Chief Information Officer at Cisive.
Mr. Gordon has over 24 years of information technology experience, including: web-based system development; enterprise architecture (both .NET and J2EE); project management; and complex system integration. He has been with Cisive for 13 years.
Mr. Gordon leads Cisive’s team of information technology professionals and is responsible for the development of Cisive’s technology solutions, including the Onboarding solution, mobile applications, the I-9/E-Verify process, and more. His team has successfully integrated with countless ATS, HRIS, DMS, and ERP systems for a completely configurable, compatible solution, providing a seamless process for our clients.
Prior to joining Cisive in 2003, Mr. Gordon was a senior consultant at a boutique NYC consulting firm with a specialization in the architectural, construction, and engineering industries. At this firm, he worked on several large-scale systems, including the management software for a multibillion-dollar construction project for New York’s Department of Environmental Protection.
Mr. Gordon has a BBA degree from Hofstra University.
Jenny Buchholz
Chief Financial Officer
Jenny Buchholz is an experienced CFO with more than 20 years in senior finance leadership roles. As CFO, Buchholz leads Cisive’s Finance Division and partners with the executive team to achieve Cisive’s strategic growth initiatives.
Prior to joining Cisive, Buchholz served as CFO at Captivate, overseeing FP&A, Accounting, Pricing & Planning, and HR.
Prior to Captivate, Buchholz was the Head of Corporate Finance at Knotel. In that role, she was a key member of the executive team and responsible for critical strategic and operational decisions for the company. She oversaw financial planning and analysis, investor relations, and capital raising.
Before Knotel, Buchholz held Strategy and Finance roles across various industries at companies including NBA, Discovery Communications, eBay, and BCG. Jenny holds an MBA from MIT Sloan.
Bruce Berger

Mr. Berger joined Cisive in 1995. As the Corporate Secretary, he is responsible for the official corporate records, public filings, licensure, legal research, and legal and regulatory affairs. He is also the leader of the “corporate security” function, which includes the physical security and safety of the corporate entity, employees, facilities, and assets. Mr. Berger is responsible for maintaining and overseeing incident response planning and risk management. He is the senior officer with oversight of compliance, human resources, and facilities. On Sept. 23, 2013, he was named Chief Compliance Officer and on April 2, 2018 he was named Data Protection Officer.
While at Cisive, Mr. Berger was previously responsible for the ongoing research, development, and maintenance of the company's state-of-the-art criminal history, public record repository/vendor network, and the initiator of the VendorComm system. He was also formerly responsible for Cisive’s Investigative Services (CIS), competitive intelligence functions, international capabilities, and other special projects.
When Mr. Berger joined the Cisive team, he had more than nine years of experience in the background and commercial investigative industries. At Cisive, he was promoted from Special Project Manager to Director — Special Projects in 1998 and subsequently to Vice President in 1999. Mr. Berger was elected as Corporate Secretary in 2000.
Mr. Berger is Cisive’s representative to the National Association of Professional Background Screeners (NAPBS). He has served as a member of the NAPBS Board of Directors and the Ethics Committee. Mr. Berger served as Chairperson of the Accreditation Task Force in 2009 and subsequently Chairperson of the Background Screening Credentialing Council (BSCC). He was instrumental in the rollout of the industry accreditation program, which was officially announced and launched by Mr. Berger at the 2009 NAPBS Annual Convention.
Prior to joining Cisive, Mr. Berger held management positions with Equifax Services Inc. (aka ChoicePoint Inc.), in San Francisco, CA.; Cincinnati, OH; Great Neck, N.Y.; and Hartford, CT. He is a former patrolman with the State of Connecticut.
Mr. Berger received his B.S. in Criminal Justice, with a minor in Political Science, from the University of New Haven, West Haven, CT. He has formal training in Total Quality Management and Process Improvement, and is a member of the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS), the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) and the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). On September 14, 2017, he received his designation as a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP).

Robert Pichler is Vice President of Operations, a position he has held since 2009.
Mr. Pichler is responsible for the day-to-day operations, leading Service Delivery and Business Operational Excellence strategies with a best-in-class customer-centric approach. Adept at repositioning resources and leveraging technology; growing margins and revenue, and enhancing efficiencies in startup and high-growth organizations in challenging economic and political environments.
Prior to being named to this position, Mr. Pichler was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the division. He began his career with the company in 2007.
Prior to joining CARCO, he held senior roles of increasing responsibility in Operations, Marketing, Sales, Underwriting, and Client Services for Cybersettle Inc. and Allstate Insurance. Mr. Pichler also held the role of Consultant for a privately held firm. He was responsible for the development, evaluation, and facilitation of organizational interventions on executive and organizational core competencies.
Mr. Pichler holds a Master of Arts degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from Hofstra University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology, with a minor in Business from Saint John's University.
