James Snedeker
Executive Vice President and General Manager Inspection Division

Mr. Snedeker joined CARCO Group in 2008. Mr. Snedeker has 35 years in the Insurance Industry specifically in insurance and reinsurance in property and casualty ,as well as underwriting and broking background in property and casualty. His experience includes both traditional and alternative risk transfer products.

In a position prior to his joining CARCO, Mr. Snedeker was Group Captive National Practice Leader for Marsh USA. The above was preceded by his New Product Development and Underwriting responsibilities for the Munich Reinsurance Groups two subsidiary companies: Munich-American RiskPartners their primary insurance company operation and, American Re, their reinsurance company. In his insurance company operations role Mr. Snedeker had Home Office Referral Underwriting, New Product Development and other operations responsibilities.

Mr. Snedeker has been a frequent speaker on insurance and reinsurance topics and authored and co-authored various articles in industry publications.

Mr. Snedeker received a B.A. in English from St. Lawrence University and has supplemented his insurance experience with various reinsurance & insurance courses in accounting, contracts and law at St. John University School of Risk Management and Actuarial Science. He also attended the Strategic Marketing Management Program at Harvard Business School, and the property and casualty underwriting training program at Firemans Fund Insurance Company.
